Why Cobh

Cobh is a pretty seaside town located approximately 15 kms east of Cork city. It is steeped in history and perhaps one of its most well-known claims to fame is the fact that it was the last port of call for the Titanic on her ill-fated maiden voyage. We at Green Pencil have chosen Cobh as our main destination for homestay students for many reasons such as:

• - Cobh is an ideal base to explore the south of Ireland being only 15kms from Cork city.
• - By having all host families within walking distance of Cobh town center we eliminate the stress students may encounter while having to negotiate the public transport network in a foreign country.

Getting There

On arrival in either Cork or Dublin airport, a private coach will be waiting transfer students to Cobh to meet their host families
